OAK – Oak is a natural product, each piece being unique, featuring different graining and colouring, these all add to the character and the beauty of the furniture, Oak with an oiled finish has a slightly open grain giving it a rough feel and will need re-oiling approximately every 12 months with a linseed oil to keep the furniture maintained and to restore it to it’s natural beauty, Oak with a lacquered finish is durable and low maintenance and will help protect the wood whilst maintaining it’s natural beauty for years to come, all drawers have dovetail joints some come complete with easy closing mechanisms and drawer locking systems, some of our blanket boxes come complete with slow fall mechanisms to prevent trapping fingers and damaging the furniture, a range of bookcase have adjustable shelving.
PINE – As with all natural products, each piece within our collection is unique, featuring different graining, knots and slight colour differences, these add to the character of the furniture, over time pine mellows with age, this is part of the beauty of this natural wood. Pine with a waxed finish is designed to fade, this is part of the aging process and will need re-waxing approximately every 12 months to bring it back to its natural beauty. Pine with a lacquered finish is durable and low maintenance, protecting the wood whilst maintaining its natural beauty for years to come.
